Director of Accounting and Administration

Location: Princeton

Salary: $110,000



Position Summary


Part of the Senior Management team.  Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of broad financial and accounting functions as well as being the main point of contact for company Administrative initiatives and functions.  The Director will also be responsible for the direct supervision and management of the accounting staff to include a Senior Accountant among possible other roles.  This role will report directly to the President and CEO and may also work closely with other senior staff and department leaders.


Core Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Diligently and proactively works to protect and manage company assets by overseeing and managing domestic accounting and finances
  • Oversees the audit process for international offices working with internal and external resources to ensure proper information critical for tax purposes
  • Handles all cash management for the organization and affiliated organizations which includes monitoring cash flow, intra-company financing
  • Oversees the preparation of all financial and accounting statements necessary for financial analysis including the maintenance of all general ledger accounts
  • Collaborates effectively with external accounting resources to prepare taxes and facilitate the completion of necessary audits
  • Supervises and oversees all A/P and A/R activity, ensuring that records are maintained properly and accurately
  • Primary internal contact for maintaining competitive and affordable General Business Insurance as well as Employee Benefit offerings
  • Collaborates with Human Resources, benefit, and other available resources for annual renewal decisions
  • Acts as the primary internal contact for all Administrative/Operational functions including overseeing general employee performance, employee relations, and other similar items leading to an engaged, collaborative, and effective workforce



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field
  • Minimum Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ experience
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of GAAP
  • General understanding of Operational functions and Human Resources best practices
  • Ability to interact and communicate with a broad range of individuals at varying levels
  • Prior experience managing a staff of accounting and/or administration focused individuals
